Light from the Middle East, V&A

DHA continued their relationship with the V&A and photography following their successful collaboration on the V&A’s new Photography Gallery 100 earlier this year. Designed and curated by the V&A’s excellent in-house team, the exhibition profiles the work of 30 contemporary photographers. The works all come from within the V&A and British Museums’ collections.

DHA worked to enhance the photographs with light, and create a welcoming gallery space, without detracting from the work. An audio slideshow (with Venetia Porter of the BM) of some of the most powerful images can be found on The Guardian website here

Death: A Self-Portrait at Wellcome Trust

DHA were delighted to be asked to work with the Wellcome Trust’s in-house design and exhibition team for the first time, to light this fascinating collection. The exhibition comprises over 300 works from the Richard Harris collection, all dealing with different images and ideas of death. These range from artists such as Goya, Rembrandt and Warhol, to a wealth of ethnographic material. The sheer array of conservation grade material made the show challenging to light.

The Observer described the show as “tremendous” and more can be found out at the Wellcome Collection’s own website here
