Temporary Galleries - National Maritime Museum – Royal River

Opened by Her Majesty the Queen, Royal River: Power, Pageantry and the Thames tells the story of 400 years of the river's history. It borrows works from over 70 lenders including Canaletto's Lord Mayor's Procession 1750-52 which has never been displayed in the UK before.  It was the first exhibition proper in the new Special Exhibitions Gallery of the NMM’s Sammy Ofer Wing.

Designed by LAND, and working closely with the NMM's conservation team, the exhibition challenged DHA Designs to display the wonderful and varied objects to low levels, whilst telling the story of the exhibition.  The exhibition - part of the 2012 Diamond Jubilee celebrations - had fantastic reviews, with even Brian Sewell (Evening Standard) describing it as "brilliantly presented".
