Interior - Horniman Museum South Gallery Daylighting

Working with MICA Architects, DHA helped develop the refurbishment of this Grade II listed gallery and the introduction of daylighting for the first time in many years

In preparation for the opening of their new Collections People Stories exhibition, the South Hall was refurbished and updated.  This included the introduction of a skylight and baffle to introduce daylight into the space whilst ensuring the light levels were controlled so that objects could be displayed without any risk of over exposure.  Additionally, a supplementary artifical lighting system was integrated into the baffle to provide uplighting to the ceiling together with upgraded lighting at cornice level.
