Exhibitions - Imperial War Museum – Holocaust Exhibition
DHA Designs worked alongside DEGW to design the lighting for the new Holocaust Exhibition at the Imperial War Museum in London. The museum were working with DHA Designs on the Imperial War Museum of the North in Manchester, and their relationship has continued since then including recent exhibitions Cecil Beaton: Theatre of War (2012) and A Family at Wartime (2012, revised 2013).
Working closely with the exhibition designer and the curator, the lighting successfully manages to help bind the exhibition into a moving and memorable experience. DHA Designs used different colour temperature of white light to help explain the narrative, concealing lighting where possible and showing a particular sensitivity to some of this heart-rendering collection.
