Exhibitions - King Abdullah Centre for Atomic And Renewable Energ
This fast track project in the centre of Riyadh promotes awareness of alternative energy futures. The entire job was designed and completed in 12 months. DHA Designs worked closely with the UK-based design team of KCA and John Furneaux to create a dramatic but sustainable lighting scheme.
DHA Designs specified an all led solution for illuminating the graphic surfaces and gallery portals. This technique helped create a rich environment of vividly coloured contrasting walls and surfaces, with no overhead arrays of graphic wash-lights to maintain. Accent lighting to the objects is provided by both metal halide and led spots, and the circulation lighting is mixture of large pendants and linear extrusions using fluorescent technology.
