Permanent Galleries - V&A - The William and Judith Bollinger Jewellery Gallery

The William and Judith Bollinger Jewellery Gallery displays 3,500 jewels from the V&A's jewellery collection, one of the finest and most comprehensive in the world. Designed by Eva Jiricna Architects, a mezzanine was introduced to increase display space, and as the gallery is narrow and dark and the lighting had to make the stunning objects come alive.

DHA Designs utilised all the advantages of fibre optic technology with 1600 individually adjustable heads focussed to light this amazing collection.  This was supplemented by backlit graphics to minimise shadows, and LED spotlights on miniature track, concealed within a discreet profile.

The project was highly commended at the 2009 Lighting Design Awards.
