The exhibition was designed as a neutral review of the many opinions on the use of nuclear energy in the UK. The central exhibition area used an array of ultra-violet floodlights that caused the hot pink interactive units to fluoresce strongly, creating the idea of 'internal energy' within the exhibits.
This 'black light' allowed the space to be kept relatively dark so that the centrepiece of the exhibition, a large open projection area, could create the maximum impact on entering the space.
