Permanent Galleries - IKEA Museum
DHA Designs have designed the lighting for IKEA’s new museum in the first IKEA store, known as the Old Star in the heart of Almhult, Sweden.
Initially we worked with museum designers RAA and architects Wilkinson Ayre, and then directly for the IKEA team, completing the project in Spring 2016.
The museum is set in the first IKEA store which opened in the 50’s and has three floors of exhibition space.
Main equipment used is from Erco for wallwashing, Concorde Beacon Muse for accent lighting and background illumination from some fine led extrusions from Lightworks.
